Join Tania Miller as she celebrates with a world premiere written in her honour by one of her first mentors, Bramwell Tovey. She also welcomes one of her favourite collaborators, Sara Davis Buechner, to the stage for the crashing rhythms and colours of Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 2. Later hear the Sibeilus Second Symphony with its grandiose finale, one of Maestra Miller’s personal favourites.
The policies of the Victoria Symphony, the Royal Theatre and the University of Victoria state that every person must have a ticket in order to be admitted to a performance. Children five years and older are welcome at all regular Victoria Symphony concerts. There are no age restrictions at Concerts for Kids, but all patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
